Agnetha is more famous for her part in ABBA rather than as a solo artist in Sweden. ABBA was one of the biggest pop groups of all-time worldwide and commercially. After leaving school at 15 Agnetha started singing with Bernt Enghardt's group which quickly gained a following. The singer was signed to a record deal through Enghardt and her debut single topped the charts in Sweden. Bjornulvaeus, whom she later married was her husband as she joined ABBA. ABBA continued to become one of the largest pop bands in the world during the subsequent 8 years. They received numerous awards which included platinum and gold, all over the world. After ABBA the group released three albums, namely 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me', 'Eyes of a Woman I Stand Alone'. Each that were hugely successful in Sweden and gained acclaim throughout Europe and beyond, but she never quite made a mark on the U.S. In the late '80s, as her career wound to a close and she entered into an informal retirement. ABBA music served as the foundation of a musical jukebox called Mamma Mia!. They came out of retirement to record 'My Coloring Book', which reached 11 at the top of U.K. chart.
