Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actress best known for the part as Missandei (HBO's fantasy show Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019, was she was a British actress. Born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea an ocean-side holiday town in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn to acting from a young age. Her mother was impressed and started enrolling her in dancing, singing and acting classes when she was just three years old. Emmanuel was a skilled actor, who was developing rapidly. As of the middle of the 90s, she was playing her role as a little Nala in "The Lion King," which was a West End musical that was a huge success. Emmanuel auditioned for roles in both television and films when she was in her teens. She was able to land her first big role, when she portrayed Sasha Valentine in the British soap drama Hollyoaks (Channel 4 from 1995 to). Emmanuel was on the show for four years before leaving the show in 2010. Emmanuel got her next break in the year following, when she was cast as Missandei in HBO's Game of Thrones. She played the interpreter of Daenerys (played by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel has appeared in each season of "Game of Thrones" from the very beginning to the May 2019 series finale.
